Fuel, transportation, rent… No sector has been spared by the surge in prices. Senegalese consumers who are frustrated by the rising cost of living in Dakar have launched a new hashtag: #30DaysForTheRightPrice. The organisers of this widely shared digital campaign want to alert the authorities to the social consequences of the situation, particularly for the most vulnerable households.
