The number of Australians missing in the Nepal-Tibet flash flooding disaster fell from 43 on Tuesday morning to 38 on Wednesday, with five unaccounted for people making contact.

Of the five Australians confirmed safe on Wednesday, one was found in Nepal, one in Tibet and three outside the crisis-hit area.
